Everton vs West Bromwich Albion Preview and Prediction

Well there is literally nothing to split these two. They have posted exactly the same record over their last six respective games in the top flight, thing going on a WDWDW sequence. Everton start the weekend one place above the Baggies in the league standings and four points clear of them. So this should be a pretty entering a game up at Goodison Park and earlier this season when they met it was Everton who took the share of the spoils in a 2-1 win at the Hawthorns. Can the Toffees, who had a big nine match unbeaten streak of form snapped in a loss at Spurs last weekend, snap straight back to winning ways? Everton are 8/13 for the win, with the draw at 11/4 and West Brom at 9/2.

Everton v West Brom Betting Tips

The Toffees had their nine match unbeaten streak of form snapped in the Premier League last weekend, when they found Tottenham just too good for them at White Hart Lane. Everton suffered a 3-2 defeat in the match. At home though they continue to go well with a W5 L1 record in their last six league games at Goodison Park. They have won their last four on the bounce there and have lost just once at home this season in the top flight (W8 D4). So overall, a very sold home side and they have not only taken a clean sheet in three of their last four at home, but have taken one in six of their last ten home and away in the top flight. Everton to win to nil at Bet365 is trading at a price of 8/5 and that could offer some great value. The Toffees though are winless in their last three at home against the Baggies in the league (D2 L1) failing to score in each of those three games.

So the head to head form isn’t quite there, but Everton did take a 2-1 win at the Hawthorns earlier in the season. Romelu Lukaku has three goals in six Premier League games against the Baggies and he is enjoying another fine season. Lukaku is 13/5 First Goalscorer favorite at Bet365 for this one and if he helps fire Everton to three points, it will put the Toffees level on points to what they collected in the entire season last term. The Baggies haven’t been putting clean sheets on the board away from home and you have a decent price of even money at Bet365 on both teams to score in this one because their opponents have been in decent shape lately as well. Everton lost this fixture 1-0 last season, but in the Bet365 correct score market an Everton 1-0 is 11/2 shortest priced option while the 1-1 draw comes in at 7/1. The Toffees Start the weekend just one place above the Baggies but four points clear of them.

So can the Baggies reel in Everton? They aren’t highly likely to take the win as they have won only one of their last seven out on the road in the top flight. They have only won three away games all season in a W3 D5 L5 record so the three points do look just beyond them. However they have only lost one of their last four on the road and overall their home and away from reads W3 D2 L1 in their last six played, but they have drawn their last two away games 1-1 at Middlesbrough and West Ham. The Baggies would equal their points tally from last season if they were to collect the three points. Albion have won 39 points from 20 games against sides outside the top six this season (W11 D6 L3) – more than any other club in games between teams currently in positions 7-20. Salomon Rondon is a 12/5 anytime goalscorer option and his goal in the 1-0 win last season for the Baggies, is the only goal in the last three games between these two at Goodison Park.

Who will win – Everton v West Brom Predictions

You would have to side with the home form of Everton winning the day in this one. They are on a good streak of winning form at Goodison Park and after their narrow miss at White Hart Lane last weekend, it is worth getting behind Ronald Koeman’s men to land the three points here. West Brom have had a good season, but they have struggled to take points off the teams above them in the table this season. Home win and probably by just a one goal margin too
