Osasuna vs Real Madrid Preview

Osasuna, promoted from the Segunda Division via playoffs last season, has continued to struggle in the Spanish top flight this term with only one win to show after 21 rounds of competitions. The team is dead last in the standings, three points below the other two teams in the relegation zone, Sporting Gijon and Granada.
Los Rojillos was nipped by Real Sociedad last Sunday in a heartbreaking 2-3 defeat on the road at the Anoeta Stadium, as per Goal.
Head coach Petar Vasiljević’ squad drew first blood in the contest with a 25th-minute goal by Spanish striker Kenan Kodro as Osasuna took a one-point lead at the halftime break.
However, Sociedad netted the next three goals to take a 3-1 lead before Sergio Leon scored another goal for Osasuna in the 79th minute.
Meanwhile, Real Madrid’s Feb. 5 fixture with Celta Vigo was postponed after a storm damaged the Balaídos Stadium.

Real’s most recent La Liga fixture was on Jan. 29, also against Real Sociedad, with Los Blancos ending up as the clear winner, 3-0, at the Santiago Bernabéu Stadium, SkySports reported.
Mateo Kovacic scored the opening goal of the contest in the 38th minute with the assist coming from Cristiano Ronaldo. Ronaldo then doubled the lead in the 51st minute as Kovacic returned the favor, passing the ball towards the on-rushing four-time Ballon d’Or winner.
Substitute striker Alvaro Morata sealed the win with a goal in the 82nd minute as Real pulled off a second straight victory following their stunning loss to Sevilla three rounds ago.
