Current league leaders Real Madrid (11-0-4, 37 points) will look to remain as the only undefeated team in the 2016-2017 La Liga season as they face bottom three squad Granada CF (1-9-6, 9 points) on Saturday, Jan. 7 at the Santiago Bernabéu Stadium.

Real Madrid has not lost in 15 rounds of Spanish top flight competitions as they are currently on top of the La Liga standings, three points ahead of arch-rival and defending champions Barcelona.
In their most recent fixture on Dec. 10 also at their home field of Santiago Bernabéu, Los Blancos escaped with a high-scoring 3-2 win over lowly club Deportivo La Coruna, as per Goal.
The first half of the contest ended scoreless as both sides struggled with their respective offensive sets. Spanish striker Alvaro Morata broke the deadlock five minutes after the restart with a 25-yard shot off an assist by midfielder Isco.
Deportivo then netted the next two goals of the match to surge ahead, 2-1, courtesy of a brace by Spanish forward Joselu.
Substitute forward Mariano was able to equalize for head coach Zinedine Zidane’s men in the 84th minute before team captain Sergio Ramos slotted in the winner with his trademark header two minutes into stoppage time.

Meanwhile, Granada lost to contending team Real Sociedad, 0-2, at their home field of Los Cármenes Stadium on Dec. 17, ESPN reported.
It was also a goalless first half for the two squads until Spanish youngster Jon Bautista opened the scoring in the 56th minute. Fellow striker Juanmi doubled Sociedad’s lead in the 69th with a right-footer from the center of the box.
The loss was the fifth winless performance for head coach Lucas Alcaraz’s side in the last six rounds, which dropped them to the 19th spot of the league table.
