Tottenham lost for the first time this term last Saturday after conceding a 1-2 game to Chelsea on the road at the Stamford Bridge, as per The Guardian.
The Spurs scored the opening goal of the contest in the 11th minute when Danish attacking midfielder Christian Eriksen picked up ball possession from 25 yards out and then beat Blues keeper Thibaut Courtois. It was the first goal allowed by Chelsea in the last seven rounds.
However, the Blues was quick to retaliate as Spanish forward Pedro netted the equalizer in the 45th minute. The hosts then took the lead in the 51st minute with a goal by Nigerian midfielder Victor Moses, who was left unmarked after Spanish striker Diego Costa passed him the ball following an attack to the goal.
Both sides went goalless after that as Tottenham was handed their first loss of the season.
Meanwhile, Swansea City was able to pull off an improbable 5-4 victory over Crystal Palace at their home ground of Liberty Stadium also last Saturday, BBC Sport reported.
