Alaves vs Valencia Preview and Prediction

Valencia have earned a three-match unbeaten streak and traveling to Vitoria-Gasteiz for their Matchday 24 clash on the back of a 2-1 win over Real Madrid, they hope to cause an upset and snatch the points in an attempt to finally escape the danger zone. While we do feel it’s a longshot to assume they can outclass the rivals and win, we will stick our necks out for a Draw at a good-looking 21/10 with bet365.

Los Che have indeed been picking up their form since early January and they’ll now be reinvigorated with the recent success. They have now earned a win (0-2 at Villarreal) and two draws (3-3 at Osasuna and 0-0 at Real Betis) in their last five outings away from home, with two losses (2-1 at Celta and 3-1 at Las Palmas) also on the record.

We thus see them as a serious challenge for Alaves, who have struggled for consistency at home throughout the season. While they do come into the match earning three wins in their last four outings, Babazorros have been nowhere near convincing in front of the home fans – earning two wins, six draws and suffering three losses there.

Nonetheless, if we exclude thrashing losses to Real Madrid (1-4) and Barcelona (0-6) at Mendizorroza they’ve been very good defensively (conceding just six goals in other nine matches). With Valencia improving at the back in their most recent outings, this surely promises to be a low-scoring contest and we’ll now back Under 2.5 goals FT at 3/5 with BetVictor!

Alaves vs. Valencia Stats

Valencia have much better head-to-head records, with eight wins, three draws and just two losses in 13 games played. However, the sides have met just once in over 10 years with Alaves returning to the top flight, as Los Che secured a narrow 2-1 win at Mestalla.

With their current spells of form, this could prove to be an even narrower contest though, and we’ll now go for a 1-1 draw in the correct score market which comes at a handsome 5/1 with Ladbrokes.
