The Gabon international spoke to the media after the game, and this is what he told them:

on whether a draw is a good result after being 2-0 down…

Yes, I think so. In the first half I think we maybe deserved to score two goals, but then that’s what happened. We’re not happy with that, but we did a great job and played well in a tough game. We deserved more.

on whether Tottenham’s goals were preventable…
Yes, I think so. I think after those two goals we started to put on the pressure and we tried to push a lot and Laca scored the first one. In the second half we had some chances and we scored the second one. I think we had the space to score a third one, but as I’ve said, it was a tough game so it’s a draw tonight.

on whether the timing of Lacazette’s goal was crucial…

Of course! That was so important because when you go into the dressing room with a goal it’s always positive. Everybody knows that we have more power and we would come back stronger in the second half, so I think it’s crucial for us to come back.

on Guendouzi’s pass for his goal…

It was a great pass. He just looked at me and he knows that I’m going to run, so the ball was perfect. I have to say the goal happened because of his pass.

on if he prefers playing through the middle…

Yes, as I’ve always said, I like to play striker, but when the team needs me on the wing, no matter what I’ll go there and I’ll try my best.
