Bayer Leverkusen vs Werder Bremen Preview and Prediction
Bayer Leverkusen will host Werder Bremen for their Matchday 24 clash on Friday, hoping to finally end their losing streak and bag the points in front of the home fans. However, with three convincing losses over the past two weeks, we feel Die Werkself are nowhere near as confident and this could prove a lot tougher challenge than expected.
Bremen, by contrast, travel with their flags flying high after connecting three wins in a row and they hope they can snatch at least a point to build on their mid-table hopes. With a somewhat more lenient schedule behind, they’ve earned points at Wolfsburg (1-2) and against Darmstadt (2-0 at home) and already escaped the immediate danger zone.
However, we don’t see them snatching all three points as Bayer will be a different challenge altogether, but we’ll stick our necks out for a draw at a good-looking 3/1 with William Hill. Die Werkself have been a tough side to beat there, but they’ve indeed made slip-ups throughout the season (1-1 against Freiburg, 1-2 loss to Ingolstadt, 0-2 loss to Mainz, to name just the less expected ones).
We thus see a draw here a very lively option, but we’re surely in for an exciting matchup tough to call. Die Werkself have conceded a high total of 12 goals and scoring four in their last three games wasn’t enough to win any points, while Bremen come into the match having netted eight and conceded five in their last five outings. Both sides (especially Bayer) have thus scored and conceded a lot of goals recently, and we’ll also go for a Yes on Both teams to score here, which comes as more of a banker bet at 8/13 with BetVictor.
