Milan midfielder Giacomo Bonaventura has reportedly agreed on a €2.5m-a-year deal at Roma and will move to the capital on a free transfer this summer.

Il Corriere dello Sport claims the Giallorossi are one step ahead of their rivals in the chase for Bonaventura’s signature and doesn’t expect any hiccups going forward.

Atalanta and Torino have been linked with the 30-year-old, who has appeared 17 times for the Rossoneri this term.

The fan favourite at San Siro arrived from La Dea in September 2014 for €7m and has since contributed 34 goals and 24 assists in his 171 matches for the Diavolo.

Agent Mino Raiola has, according to the newspaper, met with Roma and Jack has reportedly agreed on a three-year deal at the Olimpico worth €2.5m a year plus bonuses.

The former Orobici man looks set for a future in the capital and further updates are expected within the next hours.
