Casemiro tops the LaLiga ball recoveries charts

The Real Madrid midfielder ended the competition with 294 ball recoveries.
Casemiro’s efforts in the centre of the park have been a crucial element in Real Madrid getting their hands on a 34th LaLiga title. The Brazilian ace finished the campaign having recovered more balls than any other player in the competition. With 294 recoveries, he got the better of Mikel Merino (289), Estupiñán (275) and Baba (248).

Casemiro played 35 LaLiga games, averaging 8.4 recoveries per encounter. He also contributed at the other end of the pitch, netting four goals and providing one assist. He played 10 of the last 11 games in the league, scoring the winning goal against Espanyol on match day 32.
