Inter target Joao Mario is the subject of an offer from Chelsea, according to Portugese reports, as Sporting CP want €60m.
The Nerazzurri had tried to sign the winger via Jiangsu Suning, who are also owned by Inter patrons Suning, but the Chinese market closed today with no deal.
Now O Jogo claim Chelsea have dived in with a proposal that could be accepted by Sporting CP.
Inter are believed to have offered €40m and that was rejected.
The 23-year-old impressed at Euro 2016, helping his nation to victory in the tournament.
While Inter can still hope to sign Joao Mario, his huge price-tag would surely be a problem for the Financial Fair Play parameters.
