Chelsea play Peterborough at Stamford Bridge on Sunday 8 January. The match kicks off at 3pm.

Chelsea will be aiming to get back to winning ways this weekend as the Blues turn their attentions from the Premier League to the FA Cup.

Antonio Conte’s side suffered their first loss in 14 games after being beaten 2-0 by London rivals Tottenham on Wednesday but, with the club still boasting a five-point lead over Liverpool, Chelsea will not be too concerned about the result.

However, they will be eager to taste victory once again when League One outfit Peterborough pay a visit to Stamford Bridge on Sunday.

The club currently sit in eighth place in the League One standings and they will be keen to cause an FA Cup upset in west London.
TEAM NEWS

Chelsea boss Conte is likely to make changes to the team that lost to Spurs at White Hart Lane, with Diego Costa among the stars expected to be rested. The Italian doesn’t have any major injury concerns to worry about, which will be a boost for the home side.

Meanwhile, Peterborough manager Grant McCann could stick with the same team that drew 1-1 away to Scunthorpe this week.

POSSIBLE STARTING LINE-UPS

Chelsea starting XI (3-4-3): Begovic, Azpilicueta, Luiz, Cahill, Moses, Kante, Fabregas, Alonso, Willian, Batshuayi, Hazard.

Peterborough starting XI (4-4-2): McGee, Hughes, Tafazolli, Smith, Bostwick, Maddison, Samuelson, Edwards, Forrester, Taylor, Morias.
