Crystal Palace have now suffered back-to-back league defeats, the latest at Leicester by a 3-1 margin before a 1-0 loss at home to West Ham. The did managed to pull out an excellent run in between picking up three consecutive wins sandwiched between two draws to constitute a 5 match unbeaten run. They are currently sitting 11th in the league table with 11 points from their 9 matches so far.
Liverpool have started to fire from all cylinders and are coming back on an excellent 2-1 win over Tottenham in the EFL Cup round of 16. Jurgen Klopp opted to field a fringe squad in the mid-week fixture and the young side didn’t disappoint their fans. More importantly, the likes of Daniel Sturridge and Danny Ings got much needed playing time. Sturridge was star of the show scoring both the Liverpool goals and was denied a hat-trick more than once by the woodwork.
