Danilo is ready and focused on Saturday afternoon’s match against Atalanta.

“The games after the international break are never easy,” explains the No. 13 Bianconero. “In addition, we will be facing a team that is doing well, that have strong players and that plays with a lot of intensity. But we are ready to give even more, because we have the right mentality to win every game.”

The Brazilian, who returned to Turin after scoring his first goal with the Seleção, also spoke of his first few months at Juventus and his state of form: “I am very happy, everyone treats me very well, and in Turin I feel at home, it’s also thanks to the people and the fans in the city. I wanted to experience Serie A,” Danilo reveals. “And I had the opportunity to talk to Juventus in the past, but I think I arrived here at the best time. I am in a fantastic club and I have just scored my first goal in the national team: I feel great.”

For Danilo, there are still margins for improvement to work on for the team: “There has been an important change in respect to the way the game is played with the new coach and it takes time to adapt perfectly,” explains the Brazilian. “I really like Sarri’s game system, based on possession, pressing and quick recovery of the ball. We are first in the league and qualified in the Champions League, but we can still improve a lot: it is a great sign for our ambitions on all fronts.”
