Marcus Rashford has joined in with Manchester United’s latest session at the Aon Training Complex on Wednesday, boosting hopes that he could feature against Huddersfield Town at the weekend.


The England striker was withdrawn against Chelsea with a shoulder problem and there have been reports that he could miss the final two games of the Premier League season. However, he was photographed with his team-mates as Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s men prepare for the clash at the John Smith’s Stadium on Sunday.

Club captain Antonio Valencia, who has been out of action for the Reds since the win at Newcastle United on 2 January, was also involved in the workout.

Another recent absentee snapped by our club photographers was Phil Jones, who hasn’t played since the first half of last month’s clash with Everton.

Meanwhile, Ander Herrera is back in the swing of things after he made his return from injury in the 1-1 draw with Chelsea at Old Trafford.

Academy youngsters Tahith Chong, James Garner, Angel Gomes and Lee O’Connor also took part in first-team training and will hope for a chance to impress in the final matches against already relegated Huddersfield on Saturday and a side who are struggling for survival, Cardiff City.

The latter will come to Old Trafford on Sunday 12 May when the curtain comes down on another eventful Premier League campaign.
