Hazard was repeatedly linked with a move to Madrid over the years and the Los Blancos eventually got their man last summer when he moved from Chelsea for a transfer fee of €100million.

However the Belgian has struggled to make an impact due to persistent injury issues and when fit he has only managed to score one goal in 15 appearances for the club. Hazard for his part has admitted that he has not been at his best, but will look to make more of an impact next time around.

“My first season at Madrid is bad, but not everything is bad. It is an adaptation season. I will be judged in the second. It is up to me to be in good shape next year. The group is good, I have met new people. For me it is a great experience. I still have four years of contract, I hope be in good shape,” he said as quoted by Goal.

Widely hailed as one of the best wingers in the world, the 29-year-old also came in for criticism for appearance after appearing in pre-season overweight following his move to Madrid.
