Tottenham Hotspur will welcome Crystal Palace at White Hart Lane on Saturday evening, with the two teams hoping to get their first win of the season.

The Spurs were involved in a difficult opening game against Everton, they were lucky to share points with the Toffees. Spurs came back from a goal down to secure a 1-1 down on away soil.

Spurs were short on possession in the first 60 minutes of the game and that led to them going behind. Ross Barkely’s free-kick did the trick, it went past everyone in the box and ended up in the net. later Erik Lamela pulled Spurs Level with a header to gift them a point. Tottenham now hopes for a home win to setup their season.

Crystal Palace fell to a 1-0 defeat at home in the opening game, they were beaten by West Bromwich Albion which counted them among the opening day losers. Further more, The Eagles were not just beaten on the opening day, they were beaten by their former manager Pulis. Salomom Rondon’s goal was the only goal of the game, and it was enough to give the visitors 3 points.

Tottenham vs Crystal Palace: Head to Head Statistics

These two great teams have played 33 games against each other in the past, Tottenham have won 16 games and lost 7 to Crystal Palace. At White Hart Lane, Spurs have won 7 games against the Eagles and lost 4.

There last game at White Hart Lane ended 1-0 in favour of Crystal Palace.

Tottenham vs Crystal Palace: Prediction

Crystal Palace are on a steep downfall since the beginning of year 2016. Their last 22 Premier League games since December 2015 produced just two wins. Also they haven’t won a single game in Premier League in the last 11 away trips. They remain a vulnerable side in all aspects and the confidence is pretty low, which was evident in the 0-1 home defeat against West Brom in the opening match of the new season.

Tottenham are clear and heavy favourites to pile further misery on Alan Pardew’s side. They must win this fairly easy at least by a two goal margin.

I will be also backing Harry Kane to find the back of the net any-time during the game.
