The team from Molineux may have lost three of their last four in the Premier League, but a glance at their last match at home – a 2-1 win against Chelsea – tells you everything you need to know about the quality of Nuno Espirito Santo’s squad.

Jose said: “If I would rate the difficulty of matches, all of them are difficult in the Premier League, but Wolves is especially difficult because they are a very good team.

“They are in a similar situation to us in that they lost their last match, so the feeling will be not good, and the feeling will be to try to win it.

“They were always a good team, playing only with a back five, this season they went four, five, so in this moment we have the doubt in relation to that, but the quality of the players is there, the intensity is also there, so I expect a very difficult game.”

We’ve lost our last two in the Premier League but got back on track with a fine performance and win at Stoke in the quarter-final of the Carabao Cup on Wednesday night.

Jose added: “The Premier League at this moment is a competition where if you lose two matches, you go down three, four, five, six positions, if you win two matches you go up three, four, five, six positions. Every game is important, and every competition is important.”
