Roma can confirm that Alessandro Florenzi has joined Valencia on loan.
Florenzi moves to the Spanish club until the end of the current season, with the deal running until 30 June 2020.
Florenzi, 28, graduated from the Roma youth system to become the latest in a line of homegrown players to reach the first team for the Giallorossi.
As a member of the side’s Primavera, he won the league title in 2011 – also making his debut for the first team that year.
The following season he enjoyed his first sustained experience in senior football, spending the campaign on loan with Serie B side Crotone.
After returning to the Italian capital he went on to establish himself as an invaluable player for the Giallorossi, playing almost every outfield position on the pitch at one point or another over the following years.
In total Florenzi has made 279 appearances for the club, scoring 28 goals – perhaps the most famous of those coming from the halfway line against Barcelona in the Champions League back in 2015.
A full Italy international, Florenzi has made 35 appearances for his country to date – scoring two goals.
The club would like to wish Alessandro all the very best with his new adventure.
