France with Bayern pros Lucas Hernández, Benjamin Pavard, Corentin Tolisso and Kingsley Coman suffered a setback in the fight for a Euro 2020 berth on Monday evening. The Equipe Tricolore were held to a 1-1 draw by Turkey in St. Denis, losing first place in Group H to the Turks, who are equal on points and now lead the head-to-head record. However, both sides are four points clear of Iceland in third place.
Sub Olivier Giroud handed France the lead with a quarter-hour to go, but Fortuna Düsseldorf pro Kaan Ayhan soon levelled the scores. Apart from Coman, who was subbed off after 86 minutes, all Bayern pros in the France squad played the full 90 minutes.
