Freiburg vs Borussia Dortmund Preview and Prediction

Freiburg, last season’s 2. Bundesliga champions, has been inconsistent as of late, alternating wins and winless performances in their last six outings. The team is now in the ninth spot in the German top flight standings, four points below the final Europa League qualifying berth currently held by Hertha Berlin.
Breisgau-Brasilianer is coming off a 2-2 draw with lowly squad Hamburg on the road at the Imtech Arena last Saturday, as per Fox Sports Asia.
Hamburg midfielder Aaron Hunt scored the first goal of the game in the 15th minute before German midfielder Maximilian Philipp knotted the count in the 23rd with a left-footed shot off a pass by Nils Petersen.
The hosts grabbed the lead once again with a 57th-minute goal by Michael Gregoritsch, but Freiburg was able to keep the game tied with a 72nd-minute strike by Vincenzo Grifo from the center of the box with the assist again coming from Petersen.
Meanwhile, Borussia Dortmund has also been mercurial in their last six matches with three wins, two draws, and one loss. The team is third in the overall standings at the moment, eight points behind second-running team RB Leipzig and 13 points below defending champions and current league leaders Bayern Munich.

Dortmund crushed Wolfsburg, 3-0, at the Signal Iduna Park last Saturday to bounce back from their previous lackluster performance against Darmstadt, the Mirror reported.
Dutch defender Jeffrey Bruma netted an own goal in the 20th minute to give the hosts a 1-0 lead before halftime.
Polish defender Lukasz Piszczek then doubled the lead in the 48th minute before French midfielder Ousmane Dembélé sealed the win in the 59th for the final count.
