It’s the day ahead of a big match and one which comes during a difficult moment. After the final training session and the squad announcement, it was time for Gennaro Gattuso’s press conference at Milanello ahead of Juventus v AC Milan. Kick-off is at 18:00 CET on Saturday 6 April. The Rossoneri Coach’s comments were shown live on and Milan TV and here they are again.
ON THE CURRENT PERIOD
“After the derby, something has stuttered and we’ve not been able to shine. We have to put that game behind us though even if I understand that it was the most important in recent years. We can’t win games at the moment but we have to be able to understand why. We’re a bit lost at the moment on a physical and mental level. The Juventus match has come at the right time though because a positive result would push us on mentally. I can hear that a lot is being said at this time but the truth is that we’re working here towards one thing and that’s to bring Milan back into the Champions League. I can assure you that I feel very good on a professional level.”
ON PLAYING WITH TWO STRIKERS
“We were playing against Udinese, a game that allowed us to play in that way. We were unlucky with Paquetá’s injury, especially with when it came in the game, at a point when things were starting to take shape for the team.”
