The Spaniard used an interesting metaphor to describe the Blues, who were the first team to beat City in the Premier League this season back in December.

‘We started well with Arsenal and Everton but now comes a really, really big test — a big bull,’ said Guardiola

‘Chelsea is an exceptional team with seven days to prepare that game. We will try. We have to prepare well.

‘This is a real final for us this weekend. If we are able to take these points, we are going to take a huge step forward.’

Romagnoli hails Higuain

AC Milan captain Alessio Romagnoli has described Gonzalo Higuain as the ‘best striker in the world’, but respects his decision to move to Chelsea on loan.

Speaking at an event in Italy, the defender said he was sad to see the Argentinian cut short his loan spell at the San Siro.

‘I still think he is the best striker in the world,’ said the defender, according to Calcio Mercato.

‘I am sorry he decided to leave but we respect his decision. He is a friend of mine and if he is happy, I am okay with it.

‘Now we have other players that won’t make us regret his departure.’
