Markus Kauczinski is in all sorts of pressure as Ingolstadt are still without a win after 7 matches into the Bundesliga 2016/17 season. The succumbed to a narrow 2-1 defeat at Koln last weekend which marked their 6th straight defeat of the season. A point earned from the spoils at Hamburg on matchday 1 is the only points they have in their bag so far. And are rightfully placed at rock bottom of the league table as they prepare to host the title hopefuls Borussia Dortmund on matchday 8.
Dortmund were not that consistent this season. A part of which owes to the increasing number of injuries to their key players. They were held to a 1-1 draw at home by the visiting Hertha Berlin last weekend. And combined with the 2-0 loss at Leverkusen on matchday 6, they will come into matchday 8 on a 2 match win-less run.
The black and yellows have lost in 2 of the three away matches this season with a lone win coming with a massive 5-1 margin against a troublesome Wolfsburg. While one of the two defeats was against RB Leipzig, a team who is playing some excellent attacking football this season.

Despite the growing injury concerns, Thomas Tuchel has done a great job in managing the squad in the domestic league and Europe so far. There are some concerns as they go deep into the league season because fatigue can become an issue.
However, they are facing an Ingolstadt who are looking out of sorts at the moment. And this is a perfect opportunity for the men in black and yellow to get back to winning ways in Bundesliga. They will be desperate for all three points as there is a 4 point gap between them and Bayern Munich.
