The last goalless draw was that one in December 2017 and before that, there had been no 0-0s since 2004 in matches at the Meazza between the Nerazzurri and Biancocelesti. It’s never dull, like on 10 May 2014 when the Nerazzurri crowd had the chance to bid farewell to Javier Zanetti and Diego Milito in a 4-1 win. In this high-scoring fixture, a number of players have starred at both Inter and Lazio, leaving their marks at both clubs. Later when coming back on the other side, fate ensured that a number of them scored against their old club.

Take Hernan Crespo for example. On 13 May 2007, Inter were already the Serie A champions, and he scored a hat-trick in front of the San Siro crowd during a 4-3 win. It wasn’t the first time that he scored in a meeting of Inter and Lazio, he also scored against the Biancocelesti on 27 April 2003 in a 1-1 draw. He also got on the scoresheet on the opposite side when playing in Rome, finding the net on 27 May 2001 in a 1-1 draw when the Nerazzurri salvaged a point late on with a fantastic Stephane Dalmat goal.

San Siro has also seen Hernanes score in various editions of Inter vs. Lazio. He did so for the Biancocelesti from the spot in 2013. The next year, he scored his first Inter goal in a 4-1 win for the Nerazzurri.
