Toni Kroos has got his name on the scoresheet in each of his six campaigns as a Real Madrid player. His strike against Celta in the season’s curtain-raiser saw the German maintain his record of finding the net in each season since he joined Real Madrid. In the LaLiga Matchday 1 encounter, the midfield man was once again on the mark against his favourite opponents, bringing his goals tally against the Vigo outfit to five.
Kroos’s goal against the Galicians was his 14th in Real Madrid colours. He opened his account back on 8 November 2014, against Rayo Vallecano at the Santiago Bernabéu. In terms of the competitions in which his goals have come, he has netted 12 times in LaLiga and twice been amongst the goals in the Champions League. The 2017/18 season was Kroos’s most prolific to date as he weighed in with five goals.
