After the 2-1 defeat of Liverpool at the Parc des Princes, Belgrade was already in their thoughts, but the players and their coach now only have a single focus: qualification. With the aim of reaching the Last 16 of the Champions League*, the squad headed into the Ooredoo Centre to fine-tune preparations to meet Crvena Zvezda.

On the menu for Thiago Silva & Co: a warm-up, ball possession exercises, and some tactical and positional exercises that will serve them well in Tuesday’s encounter.

After successive draws against Bordeaux and Strasbourg, the players count on using the lessons learned in those games to overcome their Serbian opponents: “We’re coming off a difficult match in Strasbourg,” Edinson Cavani told us. “I think that in spite of the result, it’s good preparation for what we are likely to encounter in Belgrade.”

The squad and staff will jet off to Belgrade on Monday, and you can follow all the build-up to the game, the 90 minutes itself and all the post-match reaction on the club’s official media platforms.

Paris Saint-Germain will qualify for the Last 16 if:
– they win in Belgrade;
– Liverpool don’t beat Napoli;
– they draw in Belgrade and Liverpool win 1-0, 2-1, 3-2, or by at least a two-goal margin against Napoli.
