Liverpool vs Swansea City Preview

Liverpool has been reeling at the moment with two consecutive winless performances. Their two straight drawn matches dropped the squad one spot down to third place in the overall standings. The team is now tied on points with new second-running side Tottenham Hotspur with a lesser goal differential.
The Reds are coming off a 1-1 draw with fellow powerhouse team Manchester United on the road at the Old Trafford last Sunday, as per the Mirror.
Vice-captain James Milner opened the scoring with a penalty kick in the 27th minute after United midfielder Paul Pogba was called for a handball.
It looked like Liverpool will pull off the road win, but the Red Devils were able to find the equalizer in the 84th minute with a goal from Swede striker Zlatan Ibrahimović off an assist by Ecuadorian defender Antonio Valencia.
Meanwhile, Swansea City lost their fifth game in their last six matches after they demolished by contending squad Arsenal, 0-4, at their home ground of Liberty Stadium last Saturday, Daily Mail Online reported.

Two players scored a goal each for the Gunners, namely Olivier Giroud and Alexis Sanchez in the 37th and 73rd minutes respectively, while two own goals by the Swans, courtesy of vice-captain Jack Cork and defender Kyle Naughton in the 54th and 67th minutes, completed the visitors’ four-goal haul.
It was the third shutout loss of head coach Paul Clement’s side in their last five games as Swansea is clearly having issues in the offensive end of the pitch.
The Swans have dropped to the bottom of the 20-team English top flight table. They are tied on points with Sunderland but has a lesser goal differential.
