Lucas Vázquez is celebrating his 29th birthday today. The forward was born on 1 July 1991 in Curtis (La Coruña) and is currently in his fifth season as a member of the first-team squad. With 201 games under his belt, the academy graduate has helped win 11 trophies: three Champions Leagues, three Club World Cups, two European Super Cups, one LaLiga and two Spanish Super Cups. He has also netted 24 goals.

His Real Madrid career began in 2007, when he joined the club’s Juvenil C side. After working his way up the age groups and spending a season out on loan at Espanyol, the youth-team graduate was promoted to the Real Madrid first team in the summer of 2015. During his time as a Whites’ player, Vázquez has earned a number of caps for the Spanish national team.
