The Uruguay international only joined as a free agent from Atletico Madrid back in July 2019.

However, he struggled to fit into Antonio Conte’s three-man defence and ultimately dropped down the pecking order behind Alessandro Bastoni.

According to Tuttosport, the 34-year-old’s next destination will be the Premier League.

Manchester United remain the favourites, although Tottenham and Jose Mourinho are also interested in Godin.

He has 135 senior caps for Uruguay and is the captain of his national team.
