Having joined the action just after the hour mark, Rashford was on hand to finish fellow substitute Edinson Cavani’s low cross, and by the time the celebrations had subsided and a brief VAR check had taken place, referee Jon Moss was blowing his whistle for full time.

And Marcus said that there is no better feeling than scoring a late winner.

Speaking to MUTV, Rashford said: “Winning a game like that, it’s the best feeling in football really.

“Regardless of who is on the pitch, you have to keep going until the last minute. It is the best way to win a game for me and it’s the greatest feeling.”
