Marseille go into this latest round of Ligue 1 fixtures in seventh place, seven points off the final qualifying spot for next season’s Europa League. L’OM have been pretty solid at home too, losing just once in 10 league games, so Garcia’s side should halt their losing ways and possible gain ground on those teams ahead of them in the race for Europe.
Those of you looking for a goalscorer tip should consider backing Bafetimbi Gomis in the anytime market. Gomis is not part of the Senegal team currently competing at the Africa Cup of Nations and that is certainly good news for a Marseille side that are not having to cope without their top scorer. The former Swansea City man has now scored four goals in his last six Ligue 1 appearances and I fancy him to make it five in seven by finding the back of the net against Montpellier.
