Villarreal defender Pau Torres appeared in front of the media to analyse the UEFA Europa League final, which will see the Yellows take on Manchester United this Wednesday (9pm CEST).
The Yellows No.4 underlined that it is a very special game and that the Submarine will be at the level required from the UEFA Europa League final: “Finally, it’s our turn to reach a final. Defending our town with various generations of academy players alongside each other makes it very special and we’ll be at the level needed for the final.”
Despite the size of a club like Manchester United, the Yellows’ opposition in the UEFA Europa League final, the defender underlined that the team are more than ready: “In a final you will always face the best teams. We are going into the game like we always do, preparing for it well. We’ve studied their strengths and weaknesses and we’ve prepared for the game. We’ve faced great players throughout the season. We’re ready.”
