New Manchester City head coach Pep Guardiola is rumored to be allowing a potential Wilfried Bony exit as Turkish Süper Lig side Galatasaray SK is looking to snag the Ivorian striker this summer.
The Sun reported that the 27-year-old forward is “set to end his Manchester City nightmare with Galatasaray offering a £3 million loan spell in Turkey”.

Bony had “struggled to make an impact” under former manager Manuel Pellegrini during his season-and-a-half stay in Manchester, scoring only six goals in a total of 36 English Premier League matches and 10 in 46 games in all competitions for the Citizens.
He was acquired from fellow Premier League side Swansea City in January of last year for a reported transfer fee of £25 million to £28 million, making him the most expensive African footballer at that time.
New City manager Guardiola is allegedly keen on letting him go on-loan to the Turkish club if he wants to as he is “deemed surplus to requirements” at the Etihad in the upcoming season.
The report noted, though, that if Bony decides to leave, he is set to follow the path of past players Scott Sinclair and Alvaro Negredo, both of whom went out on loan before permanently completing a transfer to their new teams.
Meanwhile, Caught Offside indicated that the £3 million loan deal Galatasaray offered for Bony comes with an option of “turning it into a permanent move depending on the striker’s performances next season”.
The 6-foot Bingerville, Ivory Coast native had been a force during his two seasons with the Swans, scoring 35 goals in a total of 70 games in all competitions, before his flop form with City.
The Yellow-Reds are said to be wary of spending big this summer because the UEFA had suspended them from European competitions this season and so a loan offer rather than a complete transfer is what the club believes they can do as of the moment.
For the part of Bony, he certainly hopes to revive his stumbling career next season whether he stays in England or move to the Turkish top flight next season.
Bony came from Eredivisie side Vitesse Arnhem before he first arrived in England with Swansea. He had played three seasons of Dutch football, scoring 53 times in 73 competitions overall for Vitas.
