Competition: World Cup Qualifiers

Date: 16 November 2016

Kick-off: 03:15 CET

Of course Brazil have always been a world power in football, but there is no doubting that they have looed a fresh force in this qualifying tournament, outdoing everyone with only Uruguay hanging onto their coattails. Brazil are pretty safe in qualification, but Peru will look to frustrate more than anything.

Brazil are comfortably on to of the qualification table, having lost only one game. It has been seven wins and three draws that has equated to 24 points, and although Uruguay are only a point behind them, both of those teams have a huge margin on third place. Brazil have also been full of goals, scoring almost 2 and a half per game on average, and only conceding nine in their 11 games. Brazil may be all but assured of qualification, but they will still want to impress against Peru who are three from the botto.

Peru cannot believe they are still in contention as they are only above Bolivia and Venezuela. However, in the way the log is crammed in the middle, those two teams below Peru have four and five points, while Peru have 14. Take into consideration that third place Colombia have 18, then perhaps, there is every chance for Peru. However, against Brazil, they are very unlikely to pick up a win, even if it is at home.

Peru vs Brazil: Last qualifying game

Brazil, who only look to be getting better and better, put on a stunning display against old foes Argentina. The Brazilians opened their account through a stunning Philippe Coutinho goal before Neymar added his name to the score sheet with Paulinho capping things off.

If Brazil’s 3-0 win was a stunner, then Peru’s 4-1 win over Paraguay was even more amazing. It was Paraguay who struck first, and that looked to set the tone in the first half, but Peru staged an amazing comeback to score four goals in the second half.

Peru vs Brazil: Prediction

Peru have performed a few miracles, especially considering their last game, but you can’t believe that Peru will be the team to hand Brazil their second loss of the qualifiers. Brazil’s strike force of Neymar and Coutinho are linking up incredibly well, and both are in top form, so it should be another 3-0 demolition you’d think, maybe even 4-0.

Peru vs Brazil: Tips

Both Neymar and Coutinho are individually in great from, but they seem to love playing with each other. Bet on both of them to score, and perhaps even assist each other’s goals.
