Pescara sporting director Luca Leone admits it’s “impossible” to get Alessandro Matri from Milan.
The three-time Scudetto winner signed for the Rossoneri in 2013, but only managed half a season at San Siro and was loaned out on numerous occasions.
Having scored four goals in seven starts while on loan with Lazio last season, Matri is likely to move again this summer, with the newly-promoted Delfini listed as an option after they sold Gianluca Lapadula to the Diavolo.
“I’d say it’s impossible,” Leone confessed to MilanNews.
“It’s difficult to pursue as an idea, he has too high a profile for us, so we’re looking for players with other characteristics.
“Rodrigo Ely and Jose Mauri? They’re young and interesting, but I don’t think Milan would let them go at the moment.”
