Sevilla vs. Villarreal Betting Tips

Returning to the winning ways against Granada (2-0) last week, Villarreal travel on a difficult away day at Sevilla on Sunday, where they hope to cause an upset and continue down the path towards consistency. However, it’s a longshot to assume they can take away anything from this fixture despite a fine display in their last outing.

Sevilla have been very convincing in front of the home crowd throughout the season and they’ve returned to their best form after a troubled November and now come into the clash on the back of a five-match unbeaten streak there. They have made some slip-ups on the road along the way and the comfortable loss at Espanyol (3-1) last week indeed shows their woes away from home. However, we don’t feel their confidence will be dented and we’ll back them to return to the winning ways here at 8/13 with William Hill!

Villarreal have had troubles of their own and they’ve only ended a six-match winless streak against Granada (2-0) but there’s obviously a lot to be done just yet. They are still in the top 5 with 34 points earned in 20 matches but the home side look confident to see them out on Sunday already. Sevillistas have bagged an impressive total of 20 goals in their last five home matches across competitions, and with the visitors finally picking it up in the final third it does seem we’ll be in for an exciting matchup.
