Simeone: “Against Barcelona you must be patient and carry on until the end”

Our coach and Correa spoke after our Spanish Super Cup semi-final win over Barcelona.

Simeone shared his thoughts following our 3-2 win over Barcelona on Thursday.

“We knew that against Barcelona, who are one of the world’s best sides, we had to be patient and carry on until the end. The final will be tough. We’ll be up against a team that played a fantastic semi-final match,” our coach said.

Correa, who scored the winner, was very happy after the game.

“We’re very happy to start the year like this, with such an important win. We dedicate it to our fans, who always believe in us, and our family. We wanted to win and we’re very happy to have done so,” the Argentine said.
