Spain cruised to an impressive 6-0 victory over Croatia in the Nations League, with the Real Madrid players grabbing the headlines. The starting line-up featured no fewer than six madridistas, a situation which hadn’t been seen since October 2002. Carvajal, Nacho, Ramos, Isco, Ceballos and Asensio made the starting XI and the latter turned in a stunning performance, in which he bagged a goal and three assists. Meanwhile, a shot of his culminated in Spain’s third of the night.

The list of madridista goalscorers in the meeting with Croatia is completed by Sergio Ramos, who nodded home an Asensio corner, and Isco, who also converted an assist from the Majorca-born attaker to make it 6-0. Carvajal laid on the opening goal of the night, meaning that the madridistas had a hand in each of Spain’s six goals. Finally, Ceballos made his debut for the full national team.
