Algeria qualified for the Men’s Olympics Football for the first time since 1980 after finishing runners-up in the 2015 African U23 Cup of Nations. They made it through the group and reached the quarter finals during that period, before suffering a 3-0 defeat to Yugoslavia.

The Foxes head-coach Pierre-Andre Schurmann has tested his team with a number of fixtures including youth and hybrid friendlies to find the perfect tactics and balance. They are involved in a tough group alongside Argentina and Portugal, so a win against Honduras is vital.

Algeria’s recent games are filled with draws and loses, as tasted victory just once in the last 7 games. The Foxes also failed to score in 4 of their last 6 games and scored just 3 goals during the period.

While Honduras are coming on the back of a good qualifying campaign in USA, which was followed by back-to-back draws against Colombia in February.  However, this game is a tough one to call considering the inconsistent form of the sides involved. A draw is the most probable outcome, with both teams getting on the score sheet.
