Black and gold will be the colors of the ball that will play in the final of CONMEBOL Copa América Brazil 2019 this Sunday, July 7th, starting at 5:00 p.m. Besides the new colors, the Nike Merlin Rabisco ball will also include the date of the match, the name of the stadium and the flag of the countries of the match. The special edition is a tribute to the final of the world’s oldest national team tournament.

Since its creation, Nike Rabisco was designed to value street culture by providing graffiti characteristics that are spread throughout the country. The swoosh, Nike’s logo, further enhances this story with the effect of aerosol painting and on the other hand, the five-star illustration, referring to the number of times Brazil has hosted the competition, the official logo of CONMEBOL Copa América Brazil 2019 and the FIFA quality certification seal.

The final match ball preserves the same technical features that have been used during the tournament. Developed by Nike, Rabisco was created with a larger impact surface, reducing the traditional construction from 12 to just four panels. This solution reduced the number of seams by 40%, as well as eliminating hard points and created an ideal point for a more accurate shot.

In its composition, the CONMEBOL Copa America’s ball, has a latex layer that replaces the traditional rubber, which is wrapped in materials that keep a more consistent air pressure and preserve its shape. Slots with engravings and 3D inks designed to dry at levels and locations that vary in millimeters increase as they dry during the printing process, further improving the aerodynamics and touch of the ball.

One of Rabisco’s greatest innovations was, for the first time, the implementation of All Control Conditions (ACC) technology in a ball to provide the best touch and control in all weather and field conditions.

The special edition of the CONMEBOL Copa América Nike Merlin Rabisco, identical to the model that will be used in the final of the CONMEBOL Copa América Brazil 2019, will be available at nike.com.br and in the rest of the market from July 4.
