Three madridistas have been called up by the Spanish national side to play in the Olympic Games in Japan from the 22nd of July to the 7th of August. Asensio, Ceballos and Vallejo are part of the 22-man squad named by Luis de la Fuente, who will open their Olympic campaign on the 22nd of July against Egypt at the Sapporo Dome.

Three days later, at the same venue, Spain take on Australia on matchday two, before facing Argentina in Saitama on the 28th of July. Prior to the tournament, the team will head to Benidorm to begin their preparations, before flying out for the Games and taking on Japan in friendly clash in Kobe on the 17th of July.
