Unlike Serie A, the Premier League announces the test results as a division rather than leaving it to the individual clubs.

There were no positive tests in the fourth round, but in this fifth set of 1,197 tests, there was one positive result.

Tottenham immediately confirmed a member of their squad or staff had tested positive for coronavirus.

He is asymptomatic and has been put into quarantine for seven days before undergoing further testing.

This is very different to the Serie A medical protocol, in which any individual who tests positive must be automatically quarantined for 14 days.

On top of that, the entire squad and coaching staff has to stay isolated in a training camp for 14 days, just in case they too develop the illness.

Serie A medics have been urging the FIGC and Government to loosen the strict protocol, fearing one positive test could grind the entire tournament to a halt.
