Tottenham Hotspur play Inter Milan at the Ullevaal Stadion in Oslo in their final pre-season friendly match before returning to England to kick-off the Premier League campaign next week.

Mauricio Pochettino’s team are having a quite summer as they were involved in just two friendlies and lost in each of them. Both fixtures were in the Australian edition of International Champions Cup 2016, which they lost 2-1 to Juventus and 1-0 to Atletico Madrid.

Inter Milan were much busier than their English counterparts and were part of six friendly games until now. A win against MLS Real Salt Lake is the only positive outing they had so far, while drawn 2 and lost 3.

The England international Harry Kane, Dele Alli, Eric Dier, Danny Rose and Kyle Walker are set to start after returning from their extended holiday due to the involvement at the Euro 2016 in France.

Hugo Lloris, Mousa Dembele and Toby Alderweireld are also available for selection, while Jan Vertonghen is side-lined with an injury.

The new signings Victor Wanyama and Vincent Janssen had impressed in the two previously friendlies are expected to start once again.

Tottenham vs Inter Milan: Head-to-Head Stats

Tottenham and Inter Milan met on four occasions since 2010 and share two wins each. The latest of the meeting was in the two legged fixture in the round 16 of the 2012/13 Europa League. Spurs win the first leg at home 3-0, but Inter came back strongly to win the return leg at San Siro winning 4-1, but eventually lost out on away goal rule.

Tottenham vs Inter Milan: Prediction

The two sides have not fared well in their pre-season fixtures so far. One of the reason could be absence of a number of key players due to their involvement in Euro 2016 and Copa America Centenario. However a number of those players are back available, but it is unlikely to make a huge difference.

The matches between these two sides have always produced goals. The last four games alone saw 19 goals scored between them. And I expect to see a minimum of three goals here.

The both managers are prioritizing fitness ahead of performance and as a reason the result could tip in either way.

Tottenham vs Inter Milan: Tips

  1. Over 2.5 goals.
  2. Both Teams to Score.
