Who will win? rounds up the views of football experts and club insiders ahead of tonight’s UEFA Europa League final between Liverpool and Sevilla.
Joško Jeličić, former Croatia and Sevilla midfielder
The chances are equal; one tiny detail could decide it, but it could be a problem for Sevilla that they haven’t played well in away matches in European competitions this season.

Saša Lovren, father of Liverpool’s Dejan’s in Večernji list (Croatia)
It’s a big deal for both clubs. The chances are 50-50, but we are all on Dejan’s side.
Juande Ramos, 2006 and 2007 UEFA Cup-winning Sevilla coach
Sevilla have a lethal counterattack and if Liverpool don’t know how to cope with that, they’ll pay. Sevilla have the experience of the last two finals, but Liverpool are one of the great teams in the competition and they’ll be very keen to win something in Europe, as it’s been a long time since their last European triumph. It will be a very special night.
Jerzy Dudek, ex-Liverpool goalkeeper in Super Express (Poland)

I will be in Basel to support Liverpool but it is 60-40 in Sevilla’s favour – they have the more experienced players. It will be good to watch fellow Pole Grzegorz Krychowiak, who will have an enormous job in midfield against Coutinho, Firmino and Can. Under Jürgen Klopp the Reds are reborn.
Ronnie Whelan, ex-Liverpool captain in The Herald (Ireland)
I was very fortunate that my career coincided with Anfield’s greatest years. We had the winning habit … Liverpool lost that in the early 90s. I have to say, Klopp is the first man to make me believe that things can change, that the bar is going to be much, much higher in the coming years. If they win against Sevilla, they will be straight into the group phase of the Champions League and that would be an incredible result after a very ordinary Premier League campaign.

Vladimír Šmicer, former Liverpool midfielder
I reckon Liverpool are going to win it 2-1!
Carlos Bacca, former Sevilla striker
Sevilla will face a great Liverpool side who have a great coach, but this team knows how to play these types of games.
