Having just turned 18, Vinicius de Oliveira Júnior (Sao Gonçalo, Rio de Janeiro; 12/07/2000) is one of the most promising young stars in world football. The forward comes to Real Madrid having played 70 times for Flamengo, with 14 goals to his name. Vinicius made his professional debut on the 13th of May 2017 in a league clash with Atlético Mineiro, while he has also made appearances in the Copa Libertadores and the South American Cup, scoring in both. What’s more, last year he was the star of the South American U-17 Championship as Brazil won the competition in Chile, finishing as the top scorer (7 goals) and being chosen as the tournament’s best player.

Nimble, quick, with lightening feet and an eye for goal, Vinicius Jr. quickly stood out in Flamengo and the national side’s youth set-ups. He won the Campeonato Carioca U-13 (2013), the Copa Guri U-14 (2014), the Copa Brasil U-15 (2015) and the Campeonato Carioca U-17 (2016). With Brazil he was crowned champion of the South American U-17 Championship, as well as the U-15 edition played in Colombia in 2015, when he netted 6 goals
