Zidane: “LaLiga is still there to be won by anyone”
“Real are playing well but we’re at home and we want to keep picking up points”, said the coach.
Zinedine Zidane appeared in an online press conference prior to Real Madrid’s clash with Real Sociedad at the Alfredo Di Stéfano on LaLiga matchday 25 (9:00pm CET): “We know what the game will be like, Real are a good side and they’re playing well, but the important thing is what we’re going to do and what we can bring that to the pitch. We’re playing well and with more confidence, we’re seeing that now. We have to keep improving on things, but we’re at home and we want to keep picking up points”.
“In our team and at this club, when things are tough, we know how to navigate the critical moments, that’s always been the same. There are difficult moments during the season but we have to carry on with what we’ve been doing recently. The season is long and there are still a lot of games left to play. We’ve not won anything yet”.
Favourites for LaLiga?
“Everyone will have an opinion but LaLiga is there to be won by anyone. The team out in front has the advantage but there are still 42 points on the table and we’re going to keep doing our thing; playing good football and winning games. We have to focus on ourselves and we’ll watch tonight’s game, but as fans. Our goal is to take as many points as we can until the end of the season”.
Turning point ahead of Huesca game
“It was a press conference like any other but perhaps I was a bit more vocal. The players are the same and they want to do a good job. We’ve been better since that game and now we have to keep it up because we’ve won nothing yet. We weren’t all that bad before, nor are we that much better now. My players are always the best but we have to keep going, there’s a long way to go. We have to keep improving”.
