Could the Bundesliga be back in a month?
Hopes that top flight football could be back within a month have been raised by Bild on Monday.

According to the German paper, the German Football Federation have drawn up plans preparing for the Bundesliga to possibly restart in early May.

Of course, Germany are still dealing with the coronavirus pandemic.

According to Johns Hopkins University, Germany (103,375) have had the fourth-highest number of confirmed cases of Covid-19 in the world.

1,810 Germans have lost their lives to the virus.

How the Bundesliga could restart: The restrictions

Bild claim that the German FA have drawn up tentative plans to restart football, which include allowing only 239 people into the stadium for any specific game.

That figure breaks down as follows:

– 122 on and around the field, including players, coaches, doctors, TV broadcasters

– 4 ballboys per game

– 113 people would be allowed in the stands including security and up to 30 journalists

That means that no VIP guests will be allowed into the stadiums.

Moreover, club employees will be banned from the games unless they fall into one of the aforementioned categories.

Bild also report that there will be no food or drinks at the games.

Finally, the plans include for 50 policemen to patrol the outside of the stadiums to ensure no crowds form.
