Angola needs to win their final group match against Mali if they want to reach the knockout stage of the 2019 Total Africa Cup of Nations. The Match day 3 of Group E will take place in Ismailia on Tuesday (2 July 2019).

After two draws, Srdjan Vasiljevic’s men only have two points before the final day. Tuesday’s match promises to be crucial for Angola. Moreover, in Luanda, millions of fans wish to see their team continue the adventure on Egyptian soil.

The Serbian technician and all his technical staff have already made their mark at Ismailia. Vasiljevic and his charges are already loving the facilities available to them.

On the other hand, Les Aigles of Mali had their eyes set on their goal. “The most important thing for us is to prepare for this difficult game, everyone is a favorite in our pool,” said Mali’s midfielder Lassana Coulibaly.

The most prolific match between these two teams dates to 2010 AFCON organized by Angola. The Eagles and Palancas Negras have history. In the opening match of the 2010 AFCON, Angola led 4-0 by the 79th minute, but Mali bounced back to equalize 4-4 in what counts as one of the biggest comebacks in the history of the premier continental competition.

In their last 10 matches (all competitions) Angola has 6 wins, 3 draws and one loss.

Despite a poor preparation campaign, Mali occupies group E top spot with 4 points and only needs a draw to ensure qualification to the next round.
