Karim Benzema just keeps on scoring. Three days after moving ahead of Roberto Carlos as Real Madrid’s all-time leading foreign appearance-maker, the Frenchman bagged a brace to secure victory for his side against Athletic. His last two goals put the striker on 10 goals from 16 games this season, making him the club’s top scorer this campaign ahead of Sergio Ramos, Carlos Casemiro, Federico Valverde and Vini Jr., who have netted three times each.

The French striker has found the back of the net in both the competitions he has featured in so far this season with 6 goals in LaLiga and 4 in the Champions League. He bagged braces against Huesca and Borussia Mönchengladbach, as well as against Athletic. He also scored in the first meeting with the German side and against Inter Milan in the Group Stage, along with goals against Levante and Valencia.
