Edinson Cavani’s exemplary performance in Manchester United’s comeback win against Tottenham Hotspur hinted at nothing but full commitment to the Reds, but the Uruguayan is yet to make a decision on his future at the club according to manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer.

After seeing a first-half goal ruled out following a VAR review, Cavani appeared determined to make a difference in north London on Sunday and did so when he headed home a Mason Greenwood cross to put United ahead in the 79th minute.

Only Everton’s Dominic Calvert-Lewin has scored more headed goals (six) in the Premier League this season than Cavani (five). His traditional centre-forward style of play offers something completely different to United’s other forwards, as Solskjaer was keen to point out after the match.

“The goals we scored were excellent, Edinson shows why he’s a no.9,” Ole told Sky Sports.
